How to offramp using ByBit's P2P Trading?
How to offramp using ByBit's P2P Trading?

Discover the steps to offramp crypto to fiat with Bybit's P2P trading. Simple, secure transaction guide.

Updated over a week ago

The whole idea of using the P2P market came from the fact that in certain regions, despite high popularity of crypto, there are problems with finding a direct fiat to crypto (Onramping) and, more importantly, crypto to fiat solutions (Offramping) solutions coming directly as part of Cryptocurrency Exchange platform.

The whole journey from crypto to fiat can also be found here on ByBit.

To make matters more complicated and credible, we did no edits in the journey. As this was our first P2P journey and we tried to stay safe, avoiding some unverified buyers, the whole process took a bit longer. But, as with all other aspects of crypto, once you survive your first trip, the following one is easy as .

One important lesson to remember :
Never release your crypto until you see fiat on your account !

  1. P2P (or peer2peer) market is very useful in countries with limited cash out options or where your cash out preference is very specific. It connects buyers and sellers of crypto assets in different countries. You can find it here :

  2. Currently, it is limited to 4 crypto currencies:

    • USDT

    • BTC

    • ETH

    • USDC

  3. Therefore, first you need to exchange your ADA into one of the 4 currencies so click Convert in the row above :

  4. The exchange happens almost instantly:

  5. Now we select Sell, Cryptocurrency and Fiat currency in P2P market. In this demo example I will select ETH, EUR and Bunq as a method of funds delivery :

  6. I want to exchange full amount so I click All:

  7. Share the details with Cryptocurrency Buyer:

  8. Email confirmation to ensure you are aware of the activity:

  9. Here is how the pending situation looks like in ByBit P2P market:

    • This Bunq transfer, despite verified user wasn't exactly what we were looking for.

    • We had some contradictory views we've exchanged in the chat but no one was harmed, no one lost any money.

    • The buyer had very good reviews but was trying to send funds from someone else's Bunq. Intentions might have been good, but since this was our debut on P2P market, we didn't want to take any risks.

  10. Next, we tried Revolut :

  11. The buyer left clear transfer instructions, asked for name and IBAN and sent the money:

  12. Once the funds were sent, I clicked RELEASE for crypto to be transferred to ByBit crypto buyer.

Remember! NEVER release your crypto until you see fiat on your account!
